Who am I

Kia Ora my name is Nezinli and I’m a year 8 student from Pt England school.

I am in room 18 and my amazing teacher is Mr Barks. We are learning how to be cybersmart and finding out what it means. Cyber Smart means to be careful on the Internet and if you don’t then you would have to face the consequences.

My goal this year is to try my best to respect my teacher and do what he tells me to do. (I still have a lot of work to do) I reckon so far that I’m achieving my goal because I haven't been getting any strikes.

My second task is going to be Math whizz because I have to do approximately 90 minutes to pass. I really enjoy being in this class because it is really talented and smart. I like meeting new people and being in Mr Barks class. This is my first time being in Mr Barks class and I am enjoying it because Mr Barks is an energetic teacher and he is also funny.

Prize Giving

When we went up on stage to preform our item. I was nervous because i ddin't know the actions thats why i went all the way to the back. I was happy because the audience couldn't see me. When i item was finished we all went down to the hall floor to sit down and wait for the Year 8 item. As people got there prizes and that it was time for the Year 8 item. I really like the Year 8 iteam because it was funny and exiting. I reckon it was funny how Jonty was singing because they came up with cool lyrics to it.

The boys was doing the dougie and the girls were doing a Beyonce song. When the boys finished there dance all you can hear is "Nek Minnit" Then the girls came on stage. They were doing a dance like soliders. After that they had like a party at the end. It was funny because all the Year 8 ran on stage and jumped up.

My best part for prize gving was watching the nomenies for sports awards because it was interesting and shocking. This was my best prize giving out of all the rest because it was cool and awsome.

What does being a Year 8 role model mean ?

1. What makes a good role model ?
By doing the right things then the younger kids will follow.

2. Who is someone in Year 8 that has been a good role model ?
Tamati, because he switches on when things go wrong and he does the right thing every time.

3. Who would make a good leader next year ?
I’ll chose Lepa because he is good and really bright. He encourages people and he has really good sportsmanship.

4. What is one big goal that you would like to achieve next year.
It would be trying my best to be good in class and in other places and to do the right things.

Prize Giving 2011

As I nervously walked up the stairs to do our Yr 7 item I was scared because I don’t know the dance and I might look like a egg. Havea and I went to the back of the stage because we were shy. When I was dancing I looked like I was doing anything. I was copying Joe because he knew all of the dance. As i kept copying Joe I got use to the dance then I knew how to do the actions. As we all ended our Prize Giving with a song at the end and it was called we will strive to succeed.

Tennis

As I whacked the ball nice and soft it was going good but I was no match for Zane, Moses and Tanielu. With an stroll to the courts Stevie and I went because we had to go and play tennis and learn the basic moves to learn how to play proper tennis. When we got told to choose a partner I chose Stevie because we are close. Stevie and I were training partners. All we did was warming up our arms and legs so when we play a game of tennis we know what to do and how to do it.

When I got ready for a combat against Zane I knew he was really good. As I served the ball to him I was doing good at first but then i got out very fast. I had to walk at the back of the line waiting behind Stevie. I knew this was going to be fun because it was really funny at the same time. I reckon that Zane was the best in our line.

On the last second of the time I lost against Nathaniel and he beat me so he was the king then it was class time. I really enjoyed playing tennis and I hope we can go back and play tennis another time.

Holidays highlights

As I woke up I just realised that it was the first day of the holidays. It was really boring and stink because there were nothing to do at home. I had to vacuum the house and pick up all the rubbish. It was so boring because there was nothing to do except jump on the Internet or go play out side. How come i didn't go and play out side because none of the kids was my age.

When I went to go pick up Dante we went for a walk to triply and it was far for us two. It was a good walk but boring because there were nothing to talk about. While me and Dante were walking we were just throwing the ball around and passing it to each other. W were just playing at Tamaki Intermediate school.

Silly sports

Exhausted, tired, and sweaty. This is how I felt when I kept running around in circles trying not to get hit by the ball. The first activity I had to do was playing dodge ball tiggy with Mrs Lagitupu. I was in the blue group and we were an all right team. We kept rotating the teams so we all could challenge a different team.

When the siren went, we went to Miss T’s activity and it was tricky and hard. We had to have just the perfect accuracy to get it to the hoops. We all had to use the sling shot to get in them. I reckon that Helen was the closest to get it in. I had about two or three turns. Everybody was cheering for the person that was having their turn with the sling shot. When it was Stevie's turn he was the funniest because he got us ten points for hitting Nathaniel on the head.

Our next rotation was with Mr Harris. This activity was all about team work because we had to tie a string around one leg each so that our legs were joined together. Then we tried to balance a tennis ball on a spoon. Toko and I made it to the cone and when we just turned it we were struggling to the finish line. We drop the tennis ball and we had to start all over again way back to the start line. The two finalist were Moses and Casey and Tevita and his partner Stevie. Them four are challenging the other class that came first.

Mrs Nua was waiting for us. She was telling us our instruction of how to play her game. We got in to our team and it was me, Casey, Sharon Helen Mauina, Sela and Tevita. It was always out of our group and t team and Tanielu team to win, but it always end up to be Tanielu group winning at the end. We only had about three rounds until we were finish. We will all laugh and have fun and get wet. I reckon that the most trickiest game was Miss T one because it was sort of like a challenge. Who ever wins they will get to have a water fight on the bottom field with Miss T with water balloon’s.

Holiday Highlights!!!

My holidays were boring at first, but then it got better because it was almost my birthday and there was a wedding that was coming up. I was so thrilled of where we were going. It was either Valentine's or Happy Days. All of a sudden we went to Happy Days and I was so hungry.

Why we went to Happy Days was for the wedding and it was my uncle and auntie that got married. When I got there I was just waiting for my cousin to arrive because it was lame. I was waiting and waiting and finally they came and it took a long time. My first thing that I had on my plate was butter chicken and chips. When I sat down my plate was demolished. After that I had some more, then I got full.

After that week it was my birthday and I got heaps of money from my mum and step dad. I got $225 and I was so happy. I spent all my money in a week and I have a lot of new things at home. I was happy with my parents because they gave me a present. I love my family no matter what.

Term 2 highlights

Term 2 highlights:
My biggest thing I enjoyed this term is making a lot of friends and playing new things. I enjoyed playing the most was when we use to play touch on the field. We stopped playing touch because people always play rugby cards and do their own things.

I like playing on my net books because it is more interesting and faster. I like my net book and it is really precious to me and it is my treasure and no one is allowed to go on it except me. I was so happy when we got our net books, but the only thing I didn’t like about it was that it was flat and we only had a little bit minutes left before it shuts down.

What I like about this term was that I had a really nice teacher and she was really kind and she gave many chances to make things right when I got things wrong. My teachers name is Miss Lagitupu and she is one of the best teacher I’ve ever had.

My favourite thing: Maths

On the first term when I came to maths I thought it was going to be boring, but as days went passed it started to be really thrilling. I was trying to do my absolute best in maths and it is really helping me learn and not to be naughty.

My teacher for maths is Mr Harris and he is really good at it. He has helped me with so many worksheets for maths and helping me to achieve my goal. I really enjoy being with Mr Harris because he uses his time helping us and trying to make us be brainy and move to a higher level in maths. I like maths because I know what to do and I understand it because I am quite good at it.

Maths is really interesting because it is really cool and I like it a lot.

Computers

Computers

We use computers for so many things. Our computers are so amazing because you can use it for YouTube, music, communications, games and especially the Internet. What I like going on the computer for most is games because all my friends have fun on it.

The particular thing that computers were made for was to use it for recording information and for communication. Computers are so common around the world and people use it for Facebook, YouTube, and to keep in touch like on Bebo.

I like using computers for free time and if I had no television I would go onto YouTube and go onto the news. The reason why I'll go onto the news is because there might be a warning of an eruption, earth quake or an huge tsunami.

Whoever made up the computer is a mad genius and they must have an awesome brain. Inventing the computer must have been really hard work and you will have to think properly of what you are doing and put more thrilling things into it. A computer is like an combination of a television, phone and an arcade game.

My best part of computer is going on free time because it is cool. You can go on games, YouTube, chat and even better you can video chat too.`

RUGBY DAY

WHAT A DAY!!!

I was shivering. My legs were shaking and it looked like I was doing the Cook Island dance. I was scared that all their big guys might squash me and turn me into a pancake.

While we were jogging onto the field I was starting to feel good about having to play our game and feeling confident. When Dominiq kicked the ball we all started charging it like we were a pack of angry, steaming bulls. When the first person ran it up straight it was a big guy and he had long hair. He got tackled by one of our team Sione. As all the fowards jumped into the ruck we stripped the ball and we gave it to the backs. As they ran they were stepping, defending, sprinting then they tripped up and people said “ohhh no”!

When the whistle blew it was half time and we had scored no try. Our coach Burt was angry at us because they were wining and we had nil.

Immersion

Our topic for this term is Bigger, Better, Faster and Stronger and we’ve been doing a rotation from class to class.

Our first class we went to was Ms Tito’s and her class was all about creativity. We had to write our name in style. I had plenty of style but not enough letters for my name and now I know what to do next. But now our time is too late and her class is one of my favourite rotation classes.

Our 2nd one was Mr Barks and he was all about practicality. He was showing us all about transforming like olden days to new things and I was quite curious. Immersion with Mr Harris was sort of the same as Mr Barks because it was all about old things to new things. Mr Harris was so cool because we got to use our net books. I really enjoyed being in Mr Harris because he is full of excitement.

Our first immersion was about using our imagination. We had to make an zinger pinger and mine is called Kurt and he is a sore loser. Many people from our class is doing it and most of us are nearly finished. we have been blogging our zinger pinger on to our own blog. We are past that and we are up to a next level on our animation. I reckon I was one of the last people to finish because I was just mucking around. My zinger pinger is really ugly and you can only see his face.

I really hate that I didn’t get to go in to Mrs Nua class because I didn’t come to school that day. I wounder what was Mrs Nua all about in her class because I reckon it might of been really awsome.

How to get points

POINTS
I reckon that we have to start working hard for our points because we are coming last by miles. Room 19 is coming 1st and their points are 590. We are room 21 and we are coming last and our points are 225. Our bin monitors have to start working and stop being lazy because if we get a bin it award then we get 50 pts. There are many ways of getting points and there are many 50 pts and 10 pts. So far we not getting anywhere, we are still last. It was quite embarassing because when we were in assembly we were coming last by the days.

Hello my name is Nezinli and my zinger pinger is called “Kurt....Kurt.....Kurt...Whats his name again? That’s right Kurt and he is my imaginary pet. He lives in the forest called ‘No Island’ and it is a mysterious place and it is shaped like a question mark. My pet is like a cat because every time it turns 1 it really turns 9 years old. It only comes out at night and if you see it, it is real dark. It most often goes around Mangere and has fights, but it always loses against animals that he fights. I really enjoy seeing it when it comes to my house because I always teach him how to behave. Watch out he is really hungry and he might come and eat all your food.

Tornado

An extraordinarily devastating tornado was demolishing parts of Albany and hurting many people and making them injured. Twenty two people were injured while the tornado was spinning and people say that they saw heaps of metal pieces of stuff flying in the tornado going round and round. There were some films on ‘Youtube’ that people took of the tornado and while they were filming it they were laughing and describing how it looked.
As I saw photos of the tornado it was dark and it looked like a big fluffy cloud, but it was more then just that it was like a killing machine that twist. If that tornado comes here I will be so horrified and I will cry like a girl and scream like one too. I reckon if it hits here I will be worried about my family and also me because I don’t want to die with pain or anything. To be honest I’ll probably want to die because it would be freaky and I will be scared.
I really feel sorry for the loss of those two people that past away in the tornado.

All about my 2 friends

What do I like / dislike about my friend?

My best friends in this school are Miracle and Ahsin. What I dislike about Miracle is that he always goes home and has to get his ears checked. What I dislike about Ahsin is that
I hardly see him but now I am starting to see him every day at school.

How come Miracle is my best friend? Because we’ve been friend’s ever since we were in room 6. How come me and Ahsin are best friends? Because we were pretty close ever since we were in room 16 and we are still really close these days .

I really enjoy playing with Miracle because we follow each other around the school and we play with heaps of other people like our other friends. I like Ahsin because he is funny and he is an artist. Ahsin is very talented and so is Miracle. Miracle has the need for speed and Ahsin has MMA skills. Miracle is a Samoan and Ahsin is a Cook Island and they crack me p with their thrilling jokes.

Bilionaire

Q: What if I was a billionaire?

I would give $5,000 dollars to the people that have cancer and donate money to the Afghanistan hospital and give them heaps of water. After that I’ll get a mansion, then get 10 ninja assassins for my body guards at night. I’ll give a quarter to my family because they give me money. I’ll pay Stone Cold and the Rock as my body guard in the day time. After that I’ll get an army and fight the bad people that want to fight New Zealand. I’ll make a war with an evil army and I’ll get all the tough people to join me including Bruce Lee, Jackie Chan, and Jet Li with the best IP man.

Camp TC concert

As the first team went up to do their performance I knew it was going to be a curious thing to watch.

My friends and I were running to school because we badly wanted to watch the concert. It was going to be a blast. I knew it was going to be the best concert I was going to watch. I was really looking forward to watch the Participatorz because I was supposed to be in that group but I didn’t come to camp. The first group that did their performance were the Responsiblez and they were a pretty good group.

After that the next group were the Respectablez and that name sounds thrilling and interesting. I really wanted to see what they had up their sleeves. I was sure they were going to be quite good because there are quite talented kids in that group.

“Yayyyyyyy”!!!! As everybody walked in to the hall. Every body was whistling, shouting, and cheering for their own kids. As they played their M.T.V first it was so fascinating. When they had finished their M.T.V they did their performance to all of us to watch them. We had a wonderful person that took charge for the concert and her name is Mrs Lagitupu.

The next group that performed was the Participatorz and I knew what they were going to do for their performance. When they started to walk on the stage every body was getting ready to dance. As the music started to play it was the Jabbowockeez dance and it was called Funky Town. While they were making their motorbike,Toko was on his partner and it looked absolutely amazing. At the beginning it was awesome and when it got to the end it was getting so not cool. Their M.T.V was pretty good and that was the last group that I watched because it was getting late so then I went home and went to sleep.

Holiday highlights

"Yes I am so excited to sleep over at my step mums". I am so totally looking forward to see whats up there and see my family.

Hello was the first word I said. It was so much fun when we had water wars because my family could hardly catch me because they were slow. I loved seeing my little brother and sister because I haven’t seen them in a long time and they are talented now. My little brother is only 3 or 4 and he already knows how to swim. My little sister is a ballerina.

The next day we went to the YMCA pools and it was the best swim I had ever had. I liked playing tag because it was fun and I was learning to swim at the same time.

Finally when we were finished swimming I had the best time because we had K.F.C at the beach and it was really delicious. We brought some D.V.D's for night time. I did not watch any because I was too tired.
