Silly sports

Exhausted, tired, and sweaty. This is how I felt when I kept running around in circles trying not to get hit by the ball. The first activity I had to do was playing dodge ball tiggy with Mrs Lagitupu. I was in the blue group and we were an all right team. We kept rotating the teams so we all could challenge a different team.

When the siren went, we went to Miss T’s activity and it was tricky and hard. We had to have just the perfect accuracy to get it to the hoops. We all had to use the sling shot to get in them. I reckon that Helen was the closest to get it in. I had about two or three turns. Everybody was cheering for the person that was having their turn with the sling shot. When it was Stevie's turn he was the funniest because he got us ten points for hitting Nathaniel on the head.

Use this space to plan your Recount:
fun, exiting, turn outs good, challenging, communication, team work,
aiming, wet, helping each other, throwing the ball, hitting people, running around in circle

Our next rotation was with Mr Harris. This activity was all about team work because we had to tie a string around one leg each so that our legs were joined together. Then we tried to balance a tennis ball on a spoon. Toko and I made it to the cone and when we just turned it we were struggling to the finish line. We drop the tennis ball and we had to start all over again way back to the start line. The two finalist were Moses and Casey and Tevita and his partner Stevie. Them four are challenging the other class that came first.

Mrs Nua was waiting for us. She was telling us our instruction of how to play her game. We got in to our team and it was me, Casey, Sharon Helen Mauina, Sela and Tevita. It was always out of our group and t team and Tanielu team to win, but it always end up to be Tanielu group winning at the end. We only had about three rounds until we were finish. We will all laugh and have fun and get wet. I reckon that the most trickiest game was Miss T one because it was sort of like a challenge. Who ever wins they will get to have a water fight on the bottom field with Miss T with water balloon’s.

  1. Hello Nazinli,
I enjoyed so much reading your short story about the fun games and sports your class participated in. I can almost hear the all the students' laughter, the giggles of three-leg racers, and the bounce of those tennis balls; you described everything so well! It makes me want to know who won the water-balloon fight!

When you finish writing, be sure ALWAYS to proofread what you've written and make sure all subjects and verbs agree grammatically. It's great to get the reader excited through colorful and descriptive language, so keep that enthusiasm in your writing, just don't forget to always use correct grammar. Thanks again and keep up the good work!

  2. Hi Nazilinli,
I enjoy sports a lot. I think that it is really cool that your teachers are keeping you guys active. It is important for your health and nutrition.

When you write your cool stories make sure you are clear. Read over your story after you are done and ask someone else to read it so they can give an outside opinion. I want you to write outside of school to because it is cool to write your life experiences. You never know who might want to read them one day. Keep working hard.
