Nez/Star - Sad Life

As Chris woke up, he walked over to the window and opened the curtains, “Ahhhhhh, isn’t it a beautiful day.” he sighed.  Tarsha walked into his room and stopped, “Do you want to come for a walk?” she asked
“Where too?” replied Chris
“Grandpa's place” Tarsha said
“Of course I’ll come, I love grandpa” Chris replied with love

While they were walking over to their grandpa’s house, they spotted a crowd of paparazzi, news reporters and police surrounding his house.  The both of them quickly ran over and saw that he was lying on the ground covered with blood! “NO!” as Chris and Tarsha yelled! “WHO WOULD HURT AN INNOCENT MAN LIKE HIM?!!” tears started pouring down from their eyes, they...were...miserable!

Chris fell onto his knees and closed his eye. “There heavenly father we all know that he has done some bad things, but everyone aren’t perfect, so can you please, please, please... Take care of him  and guide him through  all the things he will do with you.  (he started to cry even more) and in the name of jesus christ amen”   Souking with tears, Chris felt like apart of him just teared off him.

Chris tilt his head up and walked over to his grandpa. “I love you” as he whispered to him.  He gave his grandpa a kiss on the cheek and cried even more.  Tarsha did exactly the same thing as what Chris has done.  “Tarsha...” Chris said unsurely “Why did it have to be grandpa to die?”
“I have no idea” said Tarsha
“Just put it this way,  Grandpa died to live in a better place all peacefully with Jesus”
Chris smiled and felt better, but he was still sad for grandpa Max.

Nez/Star-The Unpredicted Prymid

On a hot sunny day , there was a brother and a sister that loved to travel around the world together with their uncle. Their name’s were Josh (uncle) Tarsha (sister) Chris (little brother)

“What’s this” said Tarsha
“It looks like a Pyramid”  replied Chris
“You’re right...Its is a Pyramid” Josh said with excitement
“Would use like to visit this place?” asked Josh
“Yes please” as Tarsha and chris said together.  Josh whispered to himself “Only if I knew how to get there”  He heard something “All aboard!” yelled the owner of the ship.  Josh ran as fast as he could to stop him before he leaves.  “Would you mind if you take us to this place?” As Josh showed the owner the picture. “Yes I could take use there”as the owner said nicely.  “Come on kids, because we are going to see the Pyramid.

1 day later

“Finally we're here” as the owner of the ship shouted
“Its beautiful” as Tarsha’s lured to the Pyramid
“Yes it is” as Josh agreed with Tarsha

They approached the Pyramid and saw people walking around with posters going to people and giving it to them.   One of them gave a poster to Chris and it says “Welcome to the Unpredicted Pyramid”
“Unpredicted?” As Josh said unexpected
“How is it Unpredicted?” Chris said
“Who knows...Lets just go” As Tarsha said with no shame

They all walked up the Pyramid.  They were halfway up the stairs and Chris was already exhausted.  “Need...Water...”  As Chris said dieing for a drink.  Josh pulled out a cold drink from his backpack and lend it to Chris.  GLUG GLUG GLUG  “Ahhhhhhhhhh” as Chris said fully satisfied.

“We’re almost there” said Tarsha
“We can do it” as Josh replied
“I can’t make it” As the heat took over Chris.
“Come on! We’re almost there” yelled Josh.  The heat was just too hot for them to continue walking up.  Slower and slower the heat  brought them down to there knees.  They all started crawling up the stairs.

They arrived to the last stair and crawled up it and fell on their back.  “We made it” as Tarsha said relieved.

Stay tuned for the next part to be continued.

Missing People

There were four people that went for a bush walk. There names were Ted, Barks, Mere and Penny.  They all went for a bush walk and just wandered around.

Suddenly they stumbled across A dark path way that was covered with shadows.  They walked passed a sign. “Dkar Valely ?” As Mere tried to read the sign.  Penny walked over to him and pushed him away “Let me read it because I know how to read...It says...” Her eye grew bigger as she was shocked. “Do Not Enter!”  As she read the sign.  She looked at Mere and giggled “What were you trying to read?”  Mere said “You don’t have to know!” As he was embarrassed.

Ted looked into the Dark Valley focused... “Aarrgh!!!”  As he screamed for his life.  Barks said “What happened... What did you see?” As his heart was skipping a beat.  Ted replied terrified “I don’t know but lets go check it out.”  So they all went to go and check what was in there.

(Creepy noises)  Barks had thrills going down his back.  “I think we should go back.” As he said.  Mere said with heaps of power in him “No not yet.” Penny just giggled and said “Why do you want to stay if you can’t even read”  Mere looked back at her and gave her the evils.

“Help!” As Ted screamed.  They all ran after him but all they could see was a track of a body being dragged.  They followed the path.

Barks just trembled on his knees and yelled “NOOOOOOO!”  Penny turned back looked at him and looked back at Mere.  “ Where's Barks?” As she said horrified and confusingly. Mere Was looking around, but there was no sight of Barks.

Mere and Penny were the last people remaining.  They both were freckly scared and tried to run for their lives.

Some people says that they could still hear them screaming at night and some says that they could still hear Penny giggling, but who knows if it was true or not?.

But there is just one thing, just one thing and that is...There still remained missing...

Blog Entry, Term 4

As I saw a wild crowd of people in red and black running around the school, Thats when I knew it was time.

I didn’t know what was the topic, But there was a teacher that I saw...Mr Barks! He had a sign on his shirt and it said ‘Have you seen Barbie?’  when I saw that sign I was thinking in my head “what on earth are you on about”

So we all lined up for assembly to see what the topic was.  We all sat on our seats and watched people get ready for the mysterious news.  We all saw Mr Burt coming down the hall on his skateboard.  Then he shared the topic with us and it was... TOY STORY!

Hello, my name is Nezinli and this is me doing the dougie.  This is what I did to win the dougie comp at our social.  It was quite challenging to win, but it all worked out.

Social-Night Of My Life

“Teach me how to dougie” I felt the rhythm going through my body then before you knew it I was on the dance floor doing the dougie.

Jephte and I were going to dance first, but I was kinda shy so I stayed back and watched him go first. While I was watching him I started to get hyped up then, I joined him. Fortunately I made it to the next level with other people, but what a shame, Jephte didn’t make it.

Before the semi finals there were four of us remaining.  There was Mary, Rita, James and me.  I could tell that Rita was shy too so that was my advantage to try and beat her.

I have to admit they were pretty good dancers that I was battling... Mary was one of them.

It was now in the semi finals and the last two standing were Mary and I.  We gave it all our best! She stopped quite early, but I didn’t want to stop at ALL! So I kept on dancing.  Unexpectedly the song stopped.  So then that was the last of it.  We all stood around in a circle then Mr Barks called out the winner.  “And the winner is... Nezinli”  he said it as if he was like a commentator.

I had to go and walk up onto the stage and get my award.  There were three choices. One of them was a bouncy ball that lights up in the dark, number two was very big pen and the last choice was some glow bands.  I had to think very fast and hard so then I picked the bouncy ball. It was quite fun to play with it because, it was dark and you could see it better.

So we ended the social off with a music that will make us remember this NIGHT.

Volley Trials- Fingers Crossed

WOW!  This is going to be real challenging to try and make it in the team because, all the others look real good at playing volley.

Year 7 and 8 students from Pt England are trialling for the volleyball team.  If you want to make it on the team you will have to bring your very best attitude and your high level skills.  Without too much effort I reckon that I did pretty good, but then .... When I think about it, I reckon that I could've done better.

We had to get into groups of nine and it was boys against girls.

It was time to start the game and I was one of the first nine people on the court.  We’ll be doing a strategy of three hits.  A pass, a set and finally a spike.  We gave it a try, but most of the time we were unsuccessfully.

Why did we fail our strategy?  Because there was a lack of communication. We had to convince ourselves that we could do better.  We knew that we could do it, but I think that some of us didn’t believe in ourselves.

Before you knew it, Mr Barks was quite interested in us.  He was pulling people off the court because he was quite interested and could see that we were doing better.

Miss Vaafusuaga was a spectator, but was watching the girls and pulling the ones that were impressing her off the courts.

With luck on our side, some of us were impressive and Mr Barks invited us back for the next trial date.

I’ve just checked out the latest team list and i'm still on it lets hope it stays like that.

The New And Improved

I never knew that there was an amusing test that ever existed.

Jesiah and I were talking about the beep test. It took place just in front of the staff room and while we were talking about it the main question I asked him repeatedly is that “Is this test going to be boring?”

From my point of view I thought that all tests were boring, all quiet and lots of thinking, but mainly just using pencil and paper and sitting in one spot... This time I was wrong.  This test was the best, most interesting and energetic test that was ever set.

Waiting for a demonstration from Kamire to show people like me (who hadn’t been before) how to do it.  As quickly as he could he showed us the act for this course.  Meanwhile, we were all waiting for Miss Vaafusuaga to set up her equipment for the beep test. Room 18 were preparing to begin with stretching, focusing and convincing ourselves we can do it.

For the beep test we had to run up and down the courts, All while we had to beat the beep.

It was my very first time doing the beep test, but it has inspired me to do it again. The first lap I was doing better than I thought, but after a while I was getting tired, each lap got harder and harder and more tiering.  If I had to rate myself out of 10 I’d say about a 6 out of 10, but next time I will be more prepared to this test again.

To do that I will cut down on the chocolate, but I will not quit.

Beep Test - I Never Knew That A Test Could Be Fun

Unexpected Birthday

I can’t believe it, but I have forgotten my very own birthday!  How wrong is this?  Sad but true, and this is how it all played out.

Waking  up, I thought today was just going to be another ordinary day , but...NO WAY!  Unexpectedly, my mum shouted, “HAPPY BIRTHDAY SON!!!”  I stood where I was, completely confused and wondered aloud, “What in the world are you talking about?” “Ahhh ,it is MY birthday,” I said as I smacked myself on the side of the head.

When I finally got up, I was as hungry as a grizzly bear  that had missed out on its’ dinner.  It felt like I was going to starve to death, but fortunately, there was some outstanding news that would save me.  I rushed to the shower,  got dressed, and set out to annoy my mum by asking her  repeatedly, “Can we go now?”   She eventually agreed, and we hopped in the car .  We were on our way.

I saw something in the distance and wondered what it was.  As we got closer ,I saw the sign more clearly,“Happy Days!” It is a restaurant, and my growling stomach is more than a little excited. Closer, closer, almost there now. I opened the door and there it was, my best friend.  I grabbed  a plate and walked over  to the buffet to say hello.   Good to see you Butter Chicken!  Where have you been Hot Crispy Chips?

I love my friends!

How To Achieve My Goal

This picture is Havea.
”Do you reckon I can do this?” if you don't know what I mean well then.... just hear me out.

Havea, my friend and I are going to race on athletics day and my goal is to beat him.  We are going to race at Pt. England school and if you don't know where it is, it is in New Zealand, just around G.I.  When? Next term!

How am I going to achieve my goal?  I plan to work hard and not to eat junk food. This is going to be really hard for me because I LOVE junk food!  I am going to work as hard as I can to beat him.  If I don't ...well let’s just say for now, that I will.  (I’m already breathing heavily)  I have butterflies, but I know I can do it!

Why don’t you tell me what you think. Who do you think will win?

Wedding Day

I had a privilege to go and see my first wedding.  It wasn’t how I thought it would be, but it was better that I thought.

The family and I went to the wedding.  It wasn’t a big wedding it was just a normal one.  When I went to this wedding it was a experience to see how weddings happen and how families get very emotional...

While we were still trying to arrive there was a bit of frustrating in the car because we didn’t know where to go.  We were making phone calls and asking some of our relatives where the wedding was ?  Unfortunately the first phone call didn’t help.  Suddenly we figured out where to go and made it just in time.

WOW!!! It was a surprise when I saw my cousin wearing a tuxedo... because he just usually wear jeans and a baggy shirt.  That was my absolute first time I’ve seen him not wear what he usually wears.  It was a very big congrats to the new couple that have been married.

When the ceremony was finished it was time to take pictures.  It was quite funny because I was almost taller than my cousin who got married even when she had high heels.  People had to go up with their family and take pictures with the two unique people that got married.

The moment has come... it was time to go to the restaurant and have a big feast.  We all had to arrive at a certain time and over 70 people came.  We were eating at a restaurant called Happy Days...  Anyway I really enjoyed that feast because it had all sort of tasty meal there.  It was a chance to go and see my first wedding and I took it.  At the end we all left with happiness and joy.

Favourite Place

“Yeah thats right, this is my favourite place in school ground!” Wanna know why, its because it is in the perfect spot, it’s refreshing and it is the coldest water I’ve tasted here in Pt England school!

Why did I picked this place as my favourite.  Well it would be its in a shady place so it would make the water nice and cold either it just taste plain and fresh.  The other reason why I like this spot and not any other of my favourite would probably be it's healthy it is good for you and like what I said before “It’s just nice and cold.”

I reckon all of the other people in my class has better places than mine, but I just like my place how it is and how much I think it is special.  why I find my place special is it comes in handy most of the time and thats is why I picked this as my favourite place and not anything else.

If you got to pick where your favourite place?  Where would it be...

Kiwi Kick

“Flush your free, run”!!! as I yelled out to my class mate ( Unaloto)...

Previously on Kiwi kick we were walking in a single file  to play against each other.  As we established our campaign for Kiwi kick, we were getting ready to start with some drills.

As we access the courtyard we were giving instructions to prepare for our first drill. The first drill was punt passing which we had difficulty of aiming the ball to our partner.  I was really struggling in this drill because it was hard to kick it with our left leg.

We had to gather back as a group and get ready for the next skill we had to do and it was hand pass.  It was really tricky because it would hurt my hand when we had to make it shape as a cone.  It would leave really light red stains on my hand.

The hand passing was the last step we had to do and out of the two drills we got taught,... my best would actually be punt passing.  Why I chose punt passing? because it didn’t hurt my leg like how it hurt my hand.

I can't wait till I come back and do this amazing event again.  Its gonna be cool when we play an actual game.  If I had to rate this sport event I’ll probably rate it as a 10/10.

Reflective Writing

Wow listen to this creepy story,”I accidentally vaporize my maths teacher, look I didn’t want to be a half blood”.

I like how the author gives us warnings before we even got to read the book like “ If you're reading this and you get a little tingly feeling then close the book now”!!!  I find the first part really interesting because it sounds like someone is right in front of me talking face to face.

What I like about the story so far is that it sounds really awesome and I get a little tingly feeling as well, but thats just fear. (Realife) ...  I really enjoy this story 100% because it has heaps of punctuation, creepy sentences and last but not least getting tingly feelings.  If I was you, I would read this book, because you could get all type of feelings including goosebumps.

This book would be one of my favourite so far.  This book is really curious and thrilling for a whole lot of reasons, but the part that i’m unsure of is that is this book true or false.

I didn’t think it was possible but I think i’m one of them (kidding) but I do get a funny feeling though, but I can’t let that stop me from reading this book.

Art Alive

Can you guess what we are learning about this term? Well i’ll just tell you this term we are learning about art, but from my perspective I wanna know what is art?  Art can mean many things like embellish nor constitution.

Vincent van gogh is a great artist, but in history people only appreciate his facility was when he had died.  Van gogh was an mournful man in most of his life.  He had sent his ear to a girl he had loved.  He drew a picture of himself and it mostly looked like he was depressed.

I particularly like doing art because at the end it turns out better then I thought it would be.

Who am I

Kia Ora my name is Nezinli and I’m a year 8 student from Pt England school.

I am in room 18 and my amazing teacher is Mr Barks. We are learning how to be cybersmart and finding out what it means. Cyber Smart means to be careful on the Internet and if you don’t then you would have to face the consequences.

My goal this year is to try my best to respect my teacher and do what he tells me to do. (I still have a lot of work to do) I reckon so far that I’m achieving my goal because I haven't been getting any strikes.

My second task is going to be Math whizz because I have to do approximately 90 minutes to pass. I really enjoy being in this class because it is really talented and smart. I like meeting new people and being in Mr Barks class. This is my first time being in Mr Barks class and I am enjoying it because Mr Barks is an energetic teacher and he is also funny.
